Domain Registration
To have a custom web site or e-mail address, you need your own "domain name." For example: your-name.com, your-business-name.net, etc. We can register your domain for you for $30 (in addition to the registration fee itself), or you may do so directly.

Domain names are registered through a registration service. Services and fees vary widely. Below is a suggested list of registration services. This list does not constitute an endorsement of any particular service. Northcoast Internet does not accept responsibility for transactions conducted with any of the listed services.

Whatever service you use, be sure it is accredited by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers).

Network Solutions - The original registrar

If you choose to register your domain by yourself and plan to have your domain hosted at Northcoast Internet, you will need to supply Internic with the following information:

Technical Contact assigned NIC Handle: NI21-ORG
Domain servers:
Primary: NORTHCOAST.COM 208.25.112.1
Secondary: ALDER.NORTHCOAST.COM 208.25.112.20

The above NIC handle is registered to Northcoast Internet's system administrator for Network Solutions. Other registrars may use a different Handle System. If so, simply fill out the full form which will require Northcoast Internet's contact informaion (see top of this page).

Additionally, some registrars may require the full name of the Northcoast's Primary Server. If so, use redwood.northcoast.com.

Web site domain hosting

Setup:	$25 one-time
Monthly Cost:	$25/month (Unix server)
Storage:	100 megabytes is available to house your web site.
Transfer limit	One gigabyte of data per month can be transferred by Internet users from your web site.
E-mail:	Up to 10 email boxes, with multiple "aliases". Aliasing allows you to tell people different addresses, such as sales@yourcompany.com, info@yourcompany.com, etc. Mail sent to aliased addresses is redirected to your box, and/or other e-mail addresses.
Reports:	Web site traffic reports are generated weekly, browseable under a password protected web page.
Note:	Hosting services do not include dial-up access.

Secure Server
Secure, encrypted web pages are possible with SSL for $15 setup, and $5/month.

E-mail domain hosting
(You must have a domain name registered to use this service.)
$50 one-time setup. Premier account required.
If you do not have a web site, you can still use your registered domain name for a custom e-mail address. For example, instead of being john@northcoast.com, you can have a custom name such as john@your-company-name.com for your e-mail. This service applies only to your e-mail account and not web pages.
