Where is Borneo and Gunung Buda?
Well,
how about starting here? Think of Borneo as being between Australia and SE
Asia, and you'll be OK. It's about 750 miles long (1250 km), and is split
up between the countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, and Brunei. We're visiting
the Malaysian part of Borneo.
Now
you are looking near the top of the island, at Malaysia and the 2 parts of
Brunei. Find the darkened area of Gunung Mulu National Park. The little dark
triangle just north of the park boundary is Gunung Buda, where we will be
camping. We get supplies in the town of Limbang, almost straight north of
Buda. Find it?
Here
you're looking down on the camp area. Mulu National Park is the dark area
that takes up the bottom left third of the map. The brick looking stuff is
the mountain range in which the caves are located. The main camp is the big
star. For a real air view of the camp, click on the word camp.
For a cool view of the bridge across the river by North Camp, click on the

view of the inside of the mountain showing its caves, click on caves.
