MissionWe aim to struggle with and overcome the fractious nature of the clients movement. Rather than challenge or compete with existing organizations we intend to work within them productively. We seek to upgrade practices beyond identity politics and into a dynamic of relational advocacy. The objective of the Respect Education Committee is to introduce dialogue about social accountability into the clients movement.
Principles
| |
| DON’T DISS, DON’T RAGE! | |
|
The Respect Education Committee is open to all clients. Serious patterns of disrespectful behavior may invite sanctions. All sanctions are subject to fair procedure. The primary sanction is temporary exclusion or restriction of privilege.
| |
| |
|
Open to non-clients on the basis
of respect for the client culture. Non-client members serve in a non-voting capacity.
