The MVI46 Modbus TCP/IIP Multi Client Network Interface allows Rockwell Automation SLC processors to interface easily with multiple Modbus TCP/IP server-compatible instruments and devices. The Multi Client module improves performance when controlling multiple servers on a Modbus TCP/IP network, by supporting up to 30 devices.

  • This module was created to improve the performance when servers are not needed on a Modbus TCP/IP network. The module supports up to 30 clients with up to 16 commands for each client, making it easy to enable/disable the commands from the ladder logic. The client command control word contains one bit for each command.
